Which government was that? Not the present one.

It was while Cameron was PM.

So Nicola seeks independence from the UK = good thing ?

The UK seeks independence from the EU = bad thing?

Scots seek independence from the UK but not real independence as they want to remain in the EU ?

Is this right ?

Yes.

Look at the above and have a ponder on what the UK currently sets on Scottish Legislation and what the EU sets on the UK's current legislation

The main major difference is that the EU doesn't need to give permission to the UK if it wants to leave the Union, whereas Scotland......

They could declare UDI - if Ian Smith and a few farmers can do it surely there is someone in the SNP with a pair?

Trollslayer Publish time 25-11-2019 21:52:54

No voters would boycott the vote and it’s legitimacy would go the way of the fallout from the Catalonian referendum last year

At the moment it’s the UK gov that’s being undemocratic and that suits the SNP’s tactics at the moment

Trollslayer Publish time 25-11-2019 21:52:54

Ahem at the last referendum the good people of Scotland choose to remain in the union. There is no evidence that if they chosen to leave that the rest of the UK would stop them. We’d be sad, but would have respected the wishes.

To say that the rest of the UK is undemocratic by abiding to the democratic result is just sheer utter madness. In my opinion.
