Finished 'Hostile Witness' by Rebecca Forster, which was described as a legal thriller, and was a free book from Amazon.
Although there was some courtroom action, it wasn't particularly weighed down with legal stuff at all. It was however, a thoroughly good read, and held my interest all the way through, making me want to know what happened next. Recommended anyway, but for free, it's a no brainer. I'll be purchasing the next in the series.
Now just started Bill Bryson's "A Short History Of Nearly Everything". I've read a couple of his before, and enjoyed his humour, so thought I'd give this one a go. But one chapter in, I hope it gets better.

Finished a Storm Of Swords. All I can say is what I have said before - George R R Martin does things other authors would be far too afraid to do!
Starting a Feast for Crows. A bit sad that I will have caught up and then have to wait for the last books...

You may also be a little sad that A Feast For Crows does not have the pace of a Storm of Swords, but you could probably do with a breather after that book.

It was long. Very long! I spent a good few weeks reading it - about 45 mins max before bed most nights, 15 minutes on the crapper at work occasionally ...
Thanks to these, I've now coined the expression for the girlfriend of "...I'm just popping off to 'do a chapter' ... " and she knows to go and open a window data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
I'll look forward to how things pan out in Crows; there are lots of things I am curious to know about particularlyand , and how it ties in with the , how all that relates to theand thecharacter.
Lots of unanswered questions, but I am glad that the POV chapter style presents characters in a different light. People I thought were inherently "good" are not always what they appear to be. The same can be said for those perceived as "bad".
My biggest curiosity is that of theand theseof sorts!
Totally gripped. In fact, now I've had my coffee, I might need to sneak off to the executive bathroom by the boardroom for 'a quick chapter' ... data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7Bran
