Try an AMG Automatic, and commit the throttle then change your mind, and the car will bunny-hop making you look like you've never driven a car before. Flipping embarrassing data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

My box is the same in Sport mode. A remap makes all the difference (cuts the gear change time in half, smooths thr changes) which takes 0.5seconds off the 0-62 time data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

I personally love all this new technology.
Adaptive cruise control, lane keeping and Automatics.
I can now roll a fag whilst driving without having to have the steering wheel between my knees or keep looking up.

All driving tests will be obsolete soon anyway ;-)Enjoy it while it lasts.

Tuck your left leg under the seat a bit. It will stop you doing it.
I find automatics too "quirky." I was given one to drive in Spain. We were meant to set up as a convoy. Everyone else cleared off and left us behind as the last two vehicles. I was still figuring out how to open the windows and set the side mirrors. Also I couldn't get the car started. I kept turning the ignition, nothing. Eventually I figured I had to have my foot on the brake pedal, then I could turn the key, and start the car.

TBF most I think have why mine has - a bright green picture of a foot on the brake pedal. Quite a few manual drivers cope with that but move the lever out of P and can’t work out why it won’t start IME

My lads CRZ needs you to have both the clutch and brake pedal depressed before the ‘start button’ works.
If you don’t, a little graphic appears on the dash showing you what to do! Quite cool really.data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Choke out, turn key, choke in pump throttle, choke out (many ages later after much pressing go faster peddle and choke in out combinations....)
Get bus.
Edit. No need for fancy keyless or foot on clutch. It never started anyway.

Pah I was able to do that in my first car. No power steering either data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7

Ah, the good old days, before those new fangled automatic chokes became popular, launching a raft of nowhere to hang the handbag jokes at the expense of women drivers.
