I sincerely hope you were driving back to the dealership you bought it from.

Dealers are refusing a rejection, even when getting the ombudsman involved. Information is now emerging that new customers are asked to sign a waiver that they've been made aware of this 'characteristic'. I'm trying to get my hand on a copy of it. Unfortunately we were never given the choice to walk away from it.

Oh wow, that sucks. My brother is in the process of changing his car & looking at these; I'm glad I found this thread now. Hope you get yours sorted anyway as I know if it was my car, it wouldn't take too long for that 'characteristic' to get on my nerves

I've seen a copy of the waiver form now - I tell you what; if I was handed that as part of buying a car I would walk away laughing. What a mess by Mercedes.
On Mercedes Crabbing Join The Register - Mercedes Crabbing quite some stats are being collected from confirmed vehicle owners. All trim levels, wheel/tyre sizes are affected. From 17-21" models. The one thing they have in common is that they are right hand drive data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7
PS. Both GLC and C class 4matic models. We haven't had any E43 owners register yet, but the piston heads review highlighted that the issue exists there as well.

My wife has a GLC 250D AMG and this issue has made her uncomfortable driving the car. Its getting worse over time (the car is only 10 months old). My car is probably slightly worse than Dejongj's car. Try driving it a multi-storey car park and you will laugh that Mercedes are claiming to call this part of the design characteristic of the car. That claim is so untenably stupid.....
Mercedes behaviour on this just shows how sad a brand they have become. I am never going to buy another Merc again that I can guarantee you. And I have bought three new Mercedes in the last 4 years. Never again. I am now heading over to BMW to part exchange the GLC against an X5.
On a more positive note, I have also managed to highlight the issue to two separate friends one of whom cancelled their order for a GLC and the other who decided to order the new Audi Q5 instead.

I've had the geometry checked independently today. Camber is way way out, but can't be adjusted without changing parts.....
For those that are interested in the details of the check.
