Crikey, you've gone down memory lane there!

Haha indeed I have, the way he stormed off refusing to shake hands and then claimed he was bursting to go toilet

I never did like Manley or Colin 'jaws' Lloyd - the year he played every small tournament to get to World number one was a joke.

I've always liked Taylor, more so the last year or two when he's really mellowed and taken it a little more light hearted, obviously knowing he didn't have long in the game.

I'm sure he'll be very gracious in defeat too, assuming he definitely does lose of course(!) as there's not much he could have done with the way Cross has played.

I can't see Anderson and Wright being around for too much longer, Barney is practically finished and Adrian Lewis has gone off the boil so at least it looks as if it won't be a one man MVG show going forward.

I think this is a good thing for darts as we don't want another Taylor domination and it was looking like that not even a couple of weeks ago before the arrival of Cross.

I should add that if I picked up a set of darts it would be 'nearest to the the board starts'

I liked Jaws when he was at the top of his game. I’ve even got Jaws flights

I had Richie Burnett and John Part darts and that's going back some years and was down to my dad.

I've not had any in over 20 years now though.

I would just like to add James Wade to the list. He's from my hometown so I've always carried a torch. I'm afraid another one bites the dust there.

Totally agree. I've enjoyed watching the Machine (more so being a left hander like me) and I really had high hopes for him but yeah, he's definitely bitten the dust. A shame.
