So Thanks to
@ShaunyS
@Sebastalona
@mike2104 (x2)
@Stulock Holmes
@booyaka

So that makes 7 (including me) sending over the email and I have sent an invite from the ESPN Fantasy site.
@domtheone@andyparksy@DiagnosticzIf you 3 can please send me a PM with your email as soon as possible so we can get the draft set.

We only need 1 more for this to run and the start of the season is fast approaching. (6th Sept)

We probably want to draft between Monday 20th August and Sunday 2nd Sept.

So I am going to have a cut off for getting me the email on the 19th August (hopefully allowing enough time for holidays as it's that time of year.) so that I still have time to recruit a friend or two outside of us lot. (If this feels unreasonable please let me know).

So in other news I have set up the league very much like I have for previous years.

I feel that the standard team roster is not actually much fun, so I have made a few changes to keep the season interesting.

1 QB
2 RB
2 WR
1 TE
2 Flex (WR/RB/TE)
1 Def
1 Kicker
4 Bench
2 Injured Reserve

The default was 1 flex and 7 bench.

I have always hated the hording mentality and also the missing points so another Flex drains the player pool 4 bench covers keeping enough players to be useful but the 2 IR slots means a bench slot is not taken if you get any injury on the team that you want to hold and not release to the player pool.

I have also added in the scoring 0.5 for both Kick off and Punt returns making some of the smaller RB/WR that are normally low scorers a bit more relevant and can actually be a game changer for a good game. It is also 0.5 per reception so if they are targeted but don't make many yards after the catch, they can also score a few points.

These are minor adjustments to the standard fantasy scoring, but should make the 2nd/3rd string RB and WR more valuable and it's not just one great scoring RB per team and the others who may have good real world games but 0 fantasy relevance.

I am open to suggestions but thought it was a good place to start.

Also thought we could be a bit more "friendly" this year and have a chat group on What'sApp or Telegram for those that want to join in.

So a quick poll,

Which day of the week is best for you to draft?
Doodle: Which day of the week

Basically the only days I can't do evenings for are Tuesday (I get some days might have something come up, but when considering more specific dates in the following weeks, if I know to avoid Tuesday/Friday/Sunday it will mean we can start earlier looking for dates as choices will be more limited).

Thanks. I’ve voted based on you’re planning for w/b 20 Aug, and assumed it’ll start about 8pm?
Happy with the roster/scoring you’ve suggested.

Yes, it gives us the time to change a week before the season starts but its a good starting point.

@Tom Tom

Can you let me know which provider you have chosen?

Whilst I follow the NFL, I’ve never participated in a fantasy league before so I’d like to prepare as much as I can.

Cheers
