Android TV Box - Must have Dobly/DTS 5.1/7.1

Hi all,

I have an old Android TV box that I load MX Player on with the custom codecs but I note MX Player also now does 'pass-through' mode so my DTS/Dolby 5.1/7.1 films should now be able to be played through my amplifier (which can do all the good stuff) - however my old Android TV box, MXIII, just isn't hardware capable of doing this and it always gets downmixed to Stereo.

Would getting an Android box, version 7.1 and above resolve this or do you know any that work with DTS/Dolby?

I note the Nvidia Shield TV looks amazing and does all this and more, but its well above my budget for a simple player that I am after - I just plug in my portable HDD and watch away.
