MP3 Player - with auto-return..

I belong to an amateur dramatics group. In dance rehearsals we rehearse to mp3 tracks.
The problem is that we would like an mp3/wav player where when you press stop, the playback returns to the original start position so that the dance can be run again from exactly the same place. It is time-consuming trying to find the start point again.
To be more clear:
We start rehearsing a segment of a dance that begins at 2''20' in a track.
We rehearse with the track then press stop whilst we go over something that went wrong.
We decide to run it again.
To do this currently, we have to scroll back to 2''20'

Is there a music player that can be set (preferences tab?) to return to 2''20' (i.e. the position in the track from where it last commenced playback) when the stop button is pressed?

Are you asking about a hardware or software player here? It's not clear

Various software players will allow you to set marker points in an Audio file that you can jump to, for example VLC calls them bookmarks. It's not exactly what you want, but it should save some time.
