We did an epic honeymoon trip 9 years ago, 3 week holiday with a week in the Masai Mara, a week in the Seychelles and a week in Mauritius.

10 year anniversary next year, plus I turn 40, so we're hoping to do a similar trip. Bit shorter, but a 1 week safari and then a week in the sun, somewhere like Zanzibar.

Anyone done safari trips recently? Looking for tips in companies to book packages.

We did a safari for our honeymoon too. We did the following;

4 days at Victoria Falls (Victoria Falls River Lodge)
10 days in Kruger Park (4 days at Tintswalo Lodge and 6 days self driving stayin in the camps)

We stopped off in Dubai on the way back for some relaxation for a couple of days. Very expensive but then only have a Honeymoon once (I hope!).

We did all the booking ourselves rather than booking a package, we found we could tailor it to exactly where we wanted to stay and having direct contact with the hotels we got some freebies thrown in too by saying it was our honeymoon.

We actually enjoyed the self driving the most and went back last year to kruger to self drive for 12 days. It’s a great experience. Would go back in a heartbeat.
