What to do in San Francisco, 3 days too long?

Thinking of doing Vegas then San Fran for our honeymoon, obviously Vegas speaks for itself but whats to do in San Fran, is 3 days too long? Anyone been?

I recommend visiting Alcatraz and doing its audio tour.

I think 3 days is ideal. As @MarkyPancake recommends, Alcatraz is well worth a visit.
You must do a cable car ride, Hyde to Powell is quite an experience.
Pier 39 at Fishermans Wharf is good.
Walk down (never up) Lombard St.
Shopping is good also with all the big stores.

And a walk on the bridge.
We has 3 days and thought it to be about right.

Double it at least. Lots to do. Outside excursions too.

Be prepared for expectations of romantic appeal to be tempered by coming up against social blight in some central areas - e.g. high numbers of homeless often with mental issues, aggressive begging, robbery, open and dirty drug taking, human defecation in the street has become a bit of a craze. And it mainly could have been avoided. Just as in Paris the woolly minded authorities there let their special place go downhill needlessly. Tragic.

But I'd go back no problem.

So many tips to make, but if I may just make one - the museum for the cable car system, which includes the actually currently working mechanism that 'powers' the trams ( I hope that's still there )

I also recommend trying to pat the head of a seal like its a cat - and getting your hand bitten off.

3 days is perfect imo. Alcatraz is a must. It's brilliant, but you need to book when tickets are released 3 months in advance otherwise they sell out.
I didn't think much to Fishermans Wharf when we were there. Union Sq is a nice area for food and drinks of an evening.
We stayed at the Scarlet Huntington, now known as the Huntington Hotel in Nob Hill which was excellent.
A trip on the trolleycars is a must. Though work out as expensive if you don't buy a PassportPass.

Muir Woods, on the other side of the Golden Gate bridge is worth a visit if you want to walk among the giant redwoods...

The Segway tours are a good way to see a lot of the sights - there are several routes/versions so look at the ones that suit you
