Sony A7RII dropped to £1999 today which with the £400 cashback brings it to £1599. (Also bundled with free Rotolight Neo II LED Light & HSS Flash, £299)
The A7RIII also dropped to £2899 but no cashback (but has the light)

Is there anything in the A7RIII features worth the £1,300 difference? Thinking specifically for use with Canon EF lenses.

I find the Cameralabs verdicts are good for that sort of comparison:

The mark III models of the A7 are a huge step up in AF performance, which I also believe translates across to use with the Canon lenses too. Colours are better (imo) in the A7Riii vs the A7Rii, and then there's the differences in spec that you can read about. Is it worth the £1300 difference? Only you can decide that. I'd buy the A7RIII grey for £2079 personally.

I've been looking at A7RII's but I was comparing them against the similarly priced A7III's which don't have the same high resolution but the sensor has better dynamic range plus the A7III also has many of the A7RIII and A9 improvements as well including the better batterylife.

A7iii is a great bang for buck, hard to beat for the money. I’ve not seen the viewfinder though as I know it’s not as good as the A7riii and A9, but how much difference there is in the real world I don’t know. The one in the A7riii is amazing though, almost forgot I was looking at a screen.

I’m still not 100% sold on Sony’s colours though, even though the ones on the A7riii are much better than previous gens. I did manage to get them something like in PP though so I’m sure I could’ve created a good preset if I’d fettled it more

you can get a a7riii import for almost £2k. Lets see what photokina brings from canon and Nikon, I was about to buy a a7riii for an up coming new York trip but I think i'll just rent the gear now
