Thomas Heaton YouTube Channel

Not sure my link above works because I’m abroad, or just that it doesn’t work period - but look up Thomas Heaton on YouTube to find his channel.

I’m sure many of you already follow him - but I stumbled across his channel by accident, and I’ve been truly impressed - I’ve worked my way through around 50% of his videos so far, and I’ve found them all entertaining, many very useful, and again others simply inspiring.

A no nonsense, no frills approach to landscape photography - practically no pretence to be someone other than a guy who loves to get out and take photographs.

You have all seen at least one of his images, as the splash-screen on Flickr is his (the tent on Place Fell, above Ullswater).

I did search the forum before posting this, and am amazed he hasn’t been mentioned before!

I'll enthusiastically second this, the videos Thomas makes are always made to a very high quality and clearly involves a lot of effort on his part. He is very straightforward and is an engaging presenter with self depreciating humour. His video's are a treasure trove for landscape photographers.

In fact, it was in a video Thomas posted that he mentioned he is inspired by (among others) Bruce Percy, a UK photographer who's work is stunningly beautiful. Bruce has just released a new book covering nearly a decade of Altiplano (The high plateau of South America) photography, and I'm looking forward to my copy due to be delivered on Friday! Thomas is superb and certainly one of my favorite landscape channels on YouTube. I won't have a bad word said against him!

Really like First Man Photography (Adam) too.

I’ve watched all his vids and they’re good, but he always looks half asleep to me. There’s loads of decent alternatives. My go to's are:

Personally much prefer getting out there to watching videos.  The videos just give me itchy feet.
