Pebble for fitness ??

I just bought a pebble Steel without knowing they had removed the app side of it.
I liked the overall spec of this watch I.e. waterproof ,fitness Tracking etc
Can any of you tech guys explain to me is it worth keeping or should I return it and look for something more suitable
I have a couple of weeks to return the watch
