7" tablets £100 or less for Satnav - Android 5 or 6?

A bit complicated!

I need satellite navigation for a caravan. The software needs to know how long and heavy the combination is to avoid weight limits, narrow lanes, tight turns etc.

A dedicated SatNav is around the £300 mark (or more).

I went for the alternative; software called CoPilot which runs under Android and is under £50.
So far it is working fine, but on my Samsung Galaxy S5 the screen is a little small for easy reading.
I am therefore looking for a larger screen; 7" or perhaps 8" looks about right.

If I am going to get a tablet it might as well be useful for other things as well.
Bluetooth music store is one idea.

The first pass seemed straightforward; look at the "top 10" reviews from various sites, reject any which didn't have GPS or access to the Play Store to download CoPilot.

That lead to the Asus Zenpad Z380M which is an 8" tablet with GPS and Bluetooth with Apt-x.
Runs Marshmallow as well.

Then I went to Currys/PC World to look at one.
I decided that 7" was possibly better than 8".
The Asus Z170C looked reasonable at £79.99.
However the Galaxy Tab A at £109.99 looked even nicer. (Note: available from John Lewis for £99.99 to the end of this month.)
One problem; these are both running Lollipop.

So my first question is does Marshmallow trump Lollipop?
The differences seem small, and Samsung seems to have hidden them on my phone.

Second question is about Bluetooth; how important is Apt-x?
Already had differing views from another part of this forum.

Nothing is ever simple (especially with mission creep).

APT-X is really only of benefit for music streaming to high-end Bluetooth wireless headphones/Soundbars etc.
You don't need it for your purposes.

Yes, if you want the absolute best audio quality from whatever device you intend to get to use with that speaker APTx would be welcome.

Just be careful using a tablet as a sat nav, as the 7 inch size may get you in bother, if it sits attached to your windscreen.

Anyway, Co-pilot is very good, used it for a while and a nexus 7
