Kindle fire 7 (2019) or Fire HD8 (2018)

As it stands now the Kindle Fire HD8 is £54.99 and the Kindle Fire 7 49.99 with the new one due ot on 6th June.

I currently use an iPad 2 and wanted an upgrade of some description as i can't get the latest apps on it for Hue due to its age so was looking at the Fire options.

I also want it for sticking in my bag when i travel to work on the Plane to watch a few movies and tv shows on it and also at work in my bunk.

Which one would be best buy ? baring in mind that the Fire 7 could potentially drop to £35 on prime day in July and i am in no great rush i guess

The Fire 8 tablet is a much better device than the 7, and worth a few more quid.

Yeah I guess that’s what I was trying to work out. Plus the price it is at now is likely to be to same come prime day.
