Samsung Tab 3

Hi I own a fairly old Samsung Tab 3 I went to use it yesterday it turned on fine then I went to Google  to look something up I found What I wanted highlighted it nothing happened.So I decided to power it off to try again but when I tried to power it on again nothing happened just a blank black screen also no sound either. I keept trying but nothing does that mean my Tab 3 is dead now I admit I never used it that often is there a way to bring it back to life.Thanks
