Looking for a 16 port gigabit switch but ......

Looking for a 16 port gigabit switch but I have some specific requirements that are causing a problem

I want it to

Have the ethernet sockets on back panel
The power socket on the front panel
The activity lights on the front panel

Essentially I want a SOHO switch but with 16 ports - can only find those up to 8 ports

I can find plenty of 16 port switches but they are all designed computer network room use, rack mounted or similar, so have the ethernet sockets and combined activity like lights on the front panel.

I suspect there isn’t one, I’ve checked the websites of the manufacturers that I can think of but if anyone does know of one, please let me know.

My back-up is two 8 port switches daisy chained, limited to 14 ports but that is enough.

Do you need them in the same place?  I use two 8 port switches - one in living room for all AV gear and one in study for all computer stuff, they are each connected back to the router.

If I use two 8 port switches they would both be located in the same place.

Yes I could connect them both to the router I guess which would save a port.

But need to be careful because I don’t think the router switch is gigabit (need to double check but think it is 100 Mbps) - need to make sure that devices talking to each other - such as computers and NAS are on the same switch.

I know what I am doing, would just prefer a single 16 port switch and was wondering if anyone knew of one that would suit my needs.

Might just use one and accept that I won’t be able to see the activity lights - to be honest I rarely refer to them.

Not quite what you want?  But may be suitable?
If your router is only 100Mbps then connect your slower items to that, ie printer

Why not a 24 port?

You’re really limiting yourself with the activity lights - what’s driving that out of interest?

Regardless if devices are on other switches - simply have a connection between the two switches this you’ve got your gig traffic on a single layer 2 environment (wouldn’t go into the router and back to the other switch) this you’ll get your throughput....

yes agree, what is driving the requirement.

If it's to check status why not get a managed switch that way you could see the port activity and check status etc from anywhere.  I switch my port lights is now on my switch.
