Hi after some advice please ive recently installed a kraken x62 aio and just wondering if I should link it to liquid temp or cpu? cheers I have it on cpu at the moment.

The intention is probably that water temperature measurements ignore short fluctuations in temperature so your fans don't spin up because of a couple of seconds of CPU use. A constant noise is less noticeable than changing RPM.

If that's the case then the CPU temperature would be for those running their CPU close to the edge who need the quickest response possible.

How much difference there is in practice would depend on a variety of things though, It could be that their actual behaviour is pretty similar.

Looking at your previous posts I guess you bought it for style reasons rather than to keep a 200W  CPU under control, so I'd probably go for the water temperature setting.

Yeah I’m only cooling a Ryzen 5 1500x which is overclocked to 4ghz temps are great 26-30 at idle and 50-60 underload stress testing and yes you are right it’s style over substance lol I love the looks thanks for advice

I've always linked it to CPU temp as the water temp always takes sometime to catch up, but with such low temps anyway you should be safe enough with water temp.
