What CPU cooler should I get for Chenbro RM42300   Asus Maximus IX Code   i7 6700? The case is quite thick but there is a card retainer right in the  spot where CPU will be.
I need a fan which doesn't block RAM slots nor PCIE.

It's impossible to say from that description.

I'd have a measure up, get some idea of roughly what sort of space you have. With rough figures it's much easier to find an appropriate cooler even if you allow a 1-2cm margin for error.

The Intel cooler that comes with the 6700 fits in almost every system and does an acceptable job. A case like that isn't designed to minimise noise anyway so you may find you don't need anything quieter.

Look at the max TDP for your processor as a guide to how hot it can be stock. Then make sure you cooler can handle that. Now the stock Intel cooler is fine for the job if you do not overclock. If you OC then a 3rd party cooler should have room to handle the extra load.
