The USB port on the R/H will not work whatever I plug into it and the single USB port on the L/H side works for everything apart from the mouse and that mouse works in both USB ports on the R/H side.

I just checked as my wife has two mice that she uses so I tried them both in the L/H USB port and one worked and one did not so I swapped mine which did not work with my wifes which did work. And mine works in either her laptop or small notepad. So have four mice and only one works in the L/H port.Very strange

I would suggest uninstalling all the usb devices......

Control panel/system/device manager.

Unplug everything connected to all USB ports. Then find all usb devices/controllers in device manager and uninstall them.

Shut down the computer, remove all power (disconnect mains and take out battery) and then re-boot after reinstalling battery and power connections. Windows will install the usb controllers again.

Try plugging in your usb devices one at a time again Windows will install the drivers. See how that goes.

For future info. it's Control Panel -> System -> Device Manager

Uninstall everything that you can in universal serial bus controllers. Windows should reload everything on reboot and when individual devices are plugged in (assume you are running Win 10)?

If not, you may need driver disks for some USB devices which normally need to be run BEFORE PLUGGING IN THE DEVICE.

Do you have Control Panel set to 'Category' view? If so change it to Small (or large) icon view and you should see the System option

Mark.
