How do I test a fibre-optic Displayport 1.4 cable? At considerable expense I've shelled out for a 10m Displayport 1.4 cable from China to link my PC and my Acer Nitro 4k @ 120 Hz monitor. I only needed a 5 meter cable but hey ho. Anyway, it seems to be doing the business, but is there any way for me to stress test it? Just to prove that it is fully functional.
And what is the best UK source for such cables? Because if this one proves itself I might get some more - I have three high bandwidth monitors and wouldn't mind one for each other two and a spare - which would allow me to move my PC farther away from my desk and thus be quieter. |
