New PC build advice

I just put together my new pc while making sure to follow every guide to the smallest details. Everything was going well until I realised my newly built pc can’t even turn on.

I have tried unplugging everything except power and gpu (because no integrated graphics) and the thing still refuses to work. I would be very thankful for any suggestions.
The following is my build:
Asrock b365m pro4
Intel core i5-9400f
Gigabyte gtx 1660 ti
Corsair cx 550
16gb (2×8gb) corsair vengeance lpx ddr4
Ssd kingston a400 and hdd (from old pc)

Firstly, it would be important to know why the newly built PC can't turn on? Is it making a noise or showing any lights?

Are you sure you have the Header Connectors in the correct places, if not that would cause a dead system, save that the fan on the PSU should spin. The correct polarity is required and you must have the power button connector on the correct pin for it to power up your MB.

Judging from the manual, I am guessing your power button connector isn't on the correct pin to power up your PC

Yes that's what I was suggesting. it's a simple mistake to make and the header can be somewhat confusing.

I've had a not powering on newly built PC. After having the heart attack I then looked at the back of the power supply and clicked the rocker switch to the on position.

It is amazing how often we overlook the obvious

Especially as some old PSU's never had a rocker switch on them.
