Hi
Basically the last couple of months i've been having some connection issues with my PC and virgin media internet. When i'm browsing whether its loading pages or watching videos on youtube I keep getting a white screen with 'no internet connection' or 'internet connection interrupted' or basically pages to that effect. The little internet connection icon will show a red cross through it was up to 10-20 seconds then it will disappear and I can resume.. for a few minutes and it happens again.
It's constant. So i've got a Virgin media hub with 100mb speed which is connected to the PC via ethernet cable. I've contacted Virgin and they first reset my connection from their end which didn't work and then told me to do a hard reset on my router, also didn't work. Was told clear my cache and cookies on the browser too but had no effect. My PC is an Asus with Windows 7, i've had it about ten years and it runs really well for what I use it for. I honestly don't think its an hardware issue but I could be wrong.
I've tried googling the problem but I can't seem to find a resolution and Virgin seem to think it's not an issue at their end. I tried unistalling the driver to my network adapter, restarting the computer so it auto reinstalled the up to date drivers - no change.
Any help would be great as this is doing my head in
