Need some help/advise

My kids computer has only got 32gb MMC

Is there a way to extend by adding another hard disk, faking it to the other hard disk is of the same partition

Can you do this only with hard disk or can you use USB media, memory card

Just want to make sure computer has even space

Please and thanks

How old is it? Those sorts of machines are often not fit for purpose and quickly run out of space so I'd be tempted to return it if it's only a couple of months old.

If not then the first thing to find out is whether you can actually connect another drive. Some of the chips used in these machines only support eMMC drives and even if the chip supports other storage interfaces there system still needs to physically have the SATA port or M.2 slot. What's the model of the computer, or the motherboard if you bought it as components?

If you can connect another drive then you've got a couple of options. Assuming you're running Windows 10 then you can use storage spaces to make two disks into a single volume (a single drive letter) or you can clone the contents of the eMMC drive onto the new drive so it just runs off that.

As EndlessWaves has suggested, the Make and Model would be the best place to start. Only then can solid advice on what you can do with it be given.

If the system has an SD card slot you can make Windows shift some data off to that via settings->storage->more storage settings and change were new content is saved.

It may not save much, it's largely apps from windows store or anything that tends to save into the music or videos folders.
