need advise on laptop to buy £550 budget

Hi Guy's

I am currently looking for a new laptop (budget £550) I want it for work use - Microsoft work mainly excel, but also want it for watching movies.

I have a gaming rig do it not for gaming. there are so many choices and bad reviews that my head is spinning
my prefs are :
light and portable
fast
quiet fan
decent screen resolution

Both products suggested by @Studentcomputerscouk are good spec laptops.

Other than MSOffice stuff and watching movies do you have any other particular things you might need to use it for in future, such as graphics or photography?

Also on the movies front if your into Blu Ray format then you could go for a laptop without the basic DVD RW's and invest in an external Blu Ray optical drive.

You could get a Ryzen 5 laptop that can do all that you want for less than £550. Can also play the occasional game or do post processing on movies using madVR.
