JVC GR-DV J70 is eating my tapes :(

Hello!

I have been tasked by my family to recover and archive all of our family memories captured on dv tape.

My problem is our camcorder seems to chew up the tapes. Once I saw it do this I ordered some blank tapes to try and see what was going on.

I'm still none the wiser and wanted to reach out to see if anyone had any suggestions for me!

I have included a video that shows the problem I am facing.

Its pretty clear the tape mechanism has a fault,it may pay you to get the tapes converted by a Cini & video tape converting company,there are many to choose from.Good luck
