Hi All,

I have a KDL-60R510A by Sony, 60 inch LED/LCD TV that I came across.

Unfortunately, there is a blue tint on the white. Just enough to be annoying.

Sometimes, a bit of blue seems to find it's way into the white background (eg. watching a hockey game), the ice has some very light blue in it.

Trying to figure out what can be the cause of it. It's there even on the Sony menu, so I'm quite certain it's a hardware issue of some kind.

Anyone have an opinion if it can be a board or if it's the LCD/LED Screen itself.

Also, I feel the colours could be a bit more virant (I'm able to get some of that when I set it to Vibrant, but then it makes the white/blue stick out a bit more).

Before I replace the motherboard (or other board), and waste some more money, I'd like some opinions.

thanks,

Paul

From what I'm reading it's likely the LED Backlights.

Strange, cartoons look perfect. But for some reason the biggest issue is if I look a solid lights. They look blotchy. Not uniform. White has some very light blue blotches. Its annoying...
