Phillips B50PUS6703 apple lightning digital tv adapter

Please excuse my ignorance but I have recently purchased a Phillips B50PUS6703 but for some reason seem unable to get my apple lightning digital tv adapter to work.

Is the TV compatible & if so which HDMI dlot at the back of the tv should I use ?

The adaptor supports a maximum resolution of 1080p and will work with any HDMI port on the rear of the TV. If its not working its likely at the source rather than the TV.

If it's this thing then the description implies it's standard HDMI rather than MHL or something else using the HDMI connectors:

It should work on any HDMI port of the TV if that's the case.

'Can't get it to work' isn't much of a problem description. What do you see when you connect it to the TV and switch the TV to that HDMI input?
