Purchased LG in 12/18. Very happy with all 4k. Was reasonably happy watching regular HD on DirecTv. Got double-crossed in a deal at Sam’s Club. Bailed and went with Dish Network. For some reason many of the channels, shows, games, etc... just don’t feel as sharp as DirecTv. I’m a photographer and am picky, but iI don’t think this is my imagination. I’ve seen a few complaints that Dish somehow compresses or degrades their signal.... maybe to pack more channels on a satellite. I’m no techy so this may be crazy. Is this possibly the issue? I’ve tried every tweaking combination in every menu and can’t seem to make it look as good as I think it should. Almost feels like it would look better if you could turn off 4k for regular HD programming. Is the upscaling making it soft/blurry maybe? Anyone have advice with the LG/Dish issue? |
