Should i sell my phone to cex?

Hi, i have a galaxy j5 and my freind gave it me and i am not sure if the phone is reported lost or stolen, (one of those freinds), if i go to Cex to sell it and it shows up as stolen will they just say and give me the phone back or will they take further action.

What makes you say your not sure? Does the phone work when you put a SIM card in it? If it does then it won’t be reported lost or stolen. If it was then it won’t pick up any signal with a SIM card

Also you are possibly overthinking it. If someone buys the handset from cex only to discover it is stolen or some other reason to involve the police, the police can simply obtain your details from cex

CEX will take your phone and perform system checks and cosmetic checks while your wait. So anything dodgy will flag up pretty quick, whether they will call the rozzers on you if it is stolen I've no idea.
