Hey guys for some time I was thinking of getting a good PC rig but I don’t really have the know how to build one. I have a friend who gotten a new computer and let me have his old one but in the process it’s mother board died. I chose to keep the graphics card and processor. Can you guys help me ID this card and tell me if it’s worth keeping or not.

Its a AMD Radeon HD7950 reference card from about 2012/13 so getting on a bit. Performance wise its similar to Nvidia's GTX670. It will play older games at 1080p reasonably well but will struggle with modern AAA titles like Battlefield 5 or Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

I guess it depends on what games you play. Personally I would be looking at a full upgrade unless you're just using it for light gaming. What CPU do you have?

It's still a decent CPU - especially when overclocked - you would need to get a Z77 motherboard (around £50 - £60 on flea-bay).
