OLD NES to Modern FOREIGN TV

Hi, I have a complex issue that I need help with. I live in Doha and have an LG TV made for and sold here in Qatar. I have an old Nintendo video game system I brought with me from the U.S. and I would like to know how to hook it up to the TV. The Nintendo comes with a RF switch that originally screwed into the coaxial cable connector on the back of the TV (this is the top-loader NES and does not have AV cable connectors). However, the connection at the back of this TV will not hook up to the Nintendo's cable. The one on the TV is a different size and lacks threading. So I have two questions:

1. Can you tell me where I can get the correct adapter to connect the Nintendo to the TV.

2. Once it is connected, how do I set the TV up to display the Nintendo games on the TV? Is there a specific channel or option I must select?

I think Nintendo used the same A/V port in the SNES and N64 as they did on the original NES, so you may get away with using one of those. Might be worth looking into as they’re in plentiful supply on ebay.

Well the issue is using that Nintendo cable on a modern TV. The AV cable Nintendo uses doesn't mate up with modern coax ports on these TVs.

Nah, see if I had the first build of the NES, then it wouldn't be a problem because they had AV cable connectors. Some of the newer top-loader NES' only have AV ports. Check this image (mine is configured like the one on the bottom)

Now, I did buy this adapter here. It might work. But then the issue is how to set up the TV.

Oh I see! Well if you have the adaptor, you should just be able to get a composite cable > scart and plug into your tv

That's step one, for sure. After it's connected to the TV, I need to figure out what setting the TV needs to be on in order to receive a picture. Do you know if there will be any issues with the TV being made for a foreign market? Like a NTSC/PAL sort of issue?

If you plug it into the scart socket you should just need to go to AV 1 or similar. If your NES is NTSC (US) and Qatar is officially a PAL country, you may have connection issues (picture may be B&W/fuzzy) but you'll only know for sure by trying.
