We have lots of 360 games and i know that some are back transferable, but can i run the 360 games through the xbox one s or do i have to run them as separate systems.
The kids use the 360 kinect camera a lot as well , would i need to buy a new xbox one type?

You can but the input lag will be bad, especially using Kinect

I think the short answer is you're probably going to have to keep the 360 on the go as well.

Due to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 having completely different processor architectures, there's no way for Xbox 360 games to run on the new hardware so each 360 game needs some work to make it run on the Xbox One.  That means only certain Xbox 360 titles will run on the Xbox One, you can see a list of games here:

Xbox One Backward Compatibility | Xbox

If the games are not on that list and they're not large popular games, it's unlikely they'll get patched for backwards compatibility.

I don't know about the Kinect, I guess if there's Kinect 360 games that are backwards compatible the old Kinect may work but a quick look at the BC list and I can't see any.
