Audio setup one X

Hi. I've got a couple of beginner questions if any one can help.

My set up at the moment is sky q - hdmi - sky soundbox - hdmi - Samsung uhd TV. That's as the instructions say and it all works as it should.

I also have a Xbox one X that needs to fit in somewhere , odvs it's hdmi - TV for picture but what about sound .Do I optical to TV or optical to soundbox. What's the advantages / disadvantages or either. And what sound option should I choose on the Xbox menu.

And my TV sound settings. I've selected external speakers . But do I choose pcm or bitstream. What are they and does it matter which.
