I went into game today to purchase a VR bundle. Talk about hard sell on the insurance. Apparently I 'need' accidental cover. Well actually I don't want it and asking me what must have been three times by two different people is not the way to keep customers. It was hardly a good shopping experience! I'm sure some would have caved in and purchased it which is I guess what they want!
Guy at work has just bought his son a Switch, he also went to Game. he is now paying £5 a month for accidental damage cover...he was convincing me how good it is.... pass..
Surely most people have accidental damage coverage on their home contents insurance. Game really do go for the hard sell on their "extras" most of which are completely pointless. "Do you want to protect your disc for 1 pound", no I dont.
