Ps4 base model HDR question

I have a launch date base model PS4 and have recently bought a Panasonic 50ex700b 4k HDR tv,now something strange is happening,all of a sudden all the games,Fallout 4,Battlefield Hard line,Star Wars Battle front one are now all playable in HDR,in fact even the main PS4 menu is in HDR,now I'm not complaining but as of yesterday the only time I got a HDR signal message was when Battlefield 1 loaded up.
Has the ps4 had some sort of update I don't know about?

there was an update that added HDR to the standard ps4

Yeah I sussed it,I had pq activated for the ps4 hdmi input so I had the HDR option available on the tv ,I got excited when the tv showed a HDR option whilst playing all games,apart from strangely the only HDR compatible game I own BF1.
