hi all

a couple of vids popped up on my youtube subs over the weekend, about 2K adding un-skippable adds to a game called NBA 2k19 in the USA.

recently this game was on discount across multiple formats for as little as 3 or 4 dollars, so to recoup monies these adds were put in place, what has angered gamers though, every gamer is getting the adverts even those who have paid 50 dollars and up.

I play a few games on my tablets and can expect adverts because they were free but on full price AAA games ?

They did something similar on Street a Fighter V apparently. I agree that this is completely out of order.

This kind of action is ultimately self defeating. The increase in revenue they will get from ads will be outweighed by the people not buying their games anymore.

This better not start happening more regular, unstoppable cut scenes are bad but adverts!!

Sounds like the first step to having a remove ads payment like mobile. And yeah I wouldn't buy them if this started happening, ridiculous.
