New Set Up Advice

I'm looking at purchasing a new set up. I've recently changed tanks and am very disappointed with performance for the following reasons:

Aspire Cleito... worked great for first 2 days. Loads of flavor and great clouds. However day 3 the clouds got less and less and hard to draw on. I searched the internet and found a common issue of vacuum occurrence. Followed advice and loosened top only for tank to drop contents all over mod!

I then thought maybe it is the coil so swapped out. After rewicking tried to vape and got the most revolting burnt rubber band taste. Swapped coil 3 more times and same issue. Again searched the internet and found this to be a common problem.

Not wanting to waste any more money I swapped tank for an Apollo Phazer which has had good reviews. Great clouds but really poor flavor. Again swapped coils but same result.

So in market for a new set up that will give both clouds and flavor and would like your thoughts please.

I've been looking at the Smok Alien and the big baby beast providing there is no overhang on the mod. I know you can buy the kit with the baby beast but wanted a tank with bigger liquid capacity.. In addition a decent setup that was reasonably portable to go out and about with.

Could you let me have your thoughts on this or another setup if you think it can be bettered. Also if you think that the setup is fine what coils would you recommend using.

There are so many setups now that produce good quality vapes, some produce more vape than other but I'm not into pre made coils.
I've got a Cubis and the follow on Cubis Pro which are replaceable coils and I like them as they don't leak but to be honest you would be better to look at the vast amount rebuildable attys as they far cheaper to run and you can work with coils that suit you.
As an example I've the Ammit atty, single coil that's good, takes a good size coil and tastes good as well as producing a good amount of vapour. It does leak a bit though and not in the usual places but it's a good atty in general.
Just a thought, you might find these type of attys are better than the prebuilt coils.

I've got an Alien with the big baby beast and can confirm that there is zero overhang of the tank when on the mod.

I've had my Alien for about 5 months now as an upgrade from a Kanger Kbox and I have to say its great especially with the Big Baby tank.

Thanks for info.... I took the plunge and bought the Alien kit including the Baby Beast. Well pleased as best vaping experience I've had to date. The flavour is really great and plenty of clouds! Also perfect size and design for out and about vaping.

Tried a couple of eliquids with it including Miami Drip Club Lemon Eleven which if you haven't tried yet is absolutely amazing.. hands down best liquid tried to date (3mg 70vg 30pg).

Only criticism loosely would be tank capacity but with unique slide top design it's no biggie. I'll probably get the big baby beast before the new regs come into effect in a couple of months.

Anyone tried all the different coils and which ones would you recommend?

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the Alien.

I've tried the X4, T8, T6 and Q2 coils and personally I like the Q2 for clouds and the X4 for flavour, I have 2 Big Baby's so I have the X4 in one and the Q2 in the other and switch between the 2 as I feel like it.

You will still be able to get the Big Baby after the TPD as long as you order it from China but I've noticed the price has dropped over here to under £30 which is a bargain.
