That seems a lot! I’m sitting here thinking a few new TVs, telephones, router and maybe 2 x iPhones & 2 iPads should be a max of 50w draw? Regular phone chargers are only 5w iirc?
And even then they would not be using much once the devices are charged?

Yep that sounds fair enough, I probably forgot to say I have a rack with a lot of kit in it that is on 24/7 .  Don't think my ups is particularly efficient as it's an older model and might measure it separately at some point to confirm.  Before I started trying to power stuff down etc when not needed it was more like 750w ...

Did you work out the hourly standby cost @ 750w? Must have been quite worrying!

Well it's about £1 a watt left on 24/7 so about £750 a year ... Or 8.6p an hour which doesn't actually sound that bad when you look at the latter figure ....
