Shure wireless SM58 problem

Hi all. I have a bit of a problem in that my SM58 cuts out when singing loudly into the top of the mic. When singing this way to the side of the mic it works perfectly. So, it seems a certain area of the mic has a dead spot, note this does not occur at all when singing gently into the microphone

Any advice is appreciated.

Sounds faulty to me. Has it been dropped?

Not sure, purchased on ebay a few months back gave it  a quick check and seemed to be working when talking into the mic, only when I tried to use it for a karaoke that I noticed the issue.
