Book Subscription Service

This doesn't seem to have hit yet, but I'm sure an ebook subscription model will be offered in the same way as spotify, netflix and love film at some point. A quick google finds Oyster in the pipeline.

Would you use a book subscription service?

For me, I'm a fan of subscription models, but for books, the available library will be key and if favourite authors or genres are not present or not supported well, it will not be attractive to all readers.

I got a kindle free with my phone upgrade and when I registered it gave me a months amazon prime for free.

Part of this service allows me to borrow books from other kindle owners libraries,  quite a good service although not a huge selection of new releases it saves you having to buy books that you are only a little interested in reading.  With time I hope the selection increases.

I'm sure soon you'll be able to pay to rent books,  I'm surprised you can't already with the number of kindles/tablets currently in circulation.
