All the critics are praising Hilary Spurling's biography of Anthony Powell, and describing Powell's 12-novel (yes, 12) sequence, Dance to the Music of Time, of one of the masterpieces of 20th-century British fiction.
I have just finished all 12 novels.
Has anyone here actually read the set? Or any of it? What did you think? |
