Counterfeiting and fabricating history is the latest hot thing in Hollywood and it has been actually going on already for a while now. This show is supposed to take place during the historical era of 1830-1900 or the Victorian age. The only thing I see shows such as this contribute to is more polarization. Clearly that's what they want and maybe that's the way to go then - why fight back.
There's always been different movies and shows for different people, but probably now the divide in the demographics is more evident. I feel like it'll be soon different theatres for different people. Well, there's always been a niche for these flicks on the fringe. And what one day was a thing of a small minority, may one day be mainstream. Having said that, thank God we have the endless world of old classics and movies yet to be found.
