Overlooked Satire

I had to first get over the notion that Roddy McDowall was playing a teenager.  Once I got past that, I could see the satire on fame and fortune. Ruth Gordon is good in her role as sort of a benefactor to the McDowall character.  The goings-on are pretty wacky up til the last half-hour when things get heavy.  This is worth looking at.
