Hope is a writer of "steamy" travelogues stuck in America on tax charges. His publisher persuades him to investigate "how Americans live" and in the process he moves to a suburban development called Paradise. Turner is the aged denizen of this place who rents her house to Hope, the only bachelor in paradise, and ends up in a scandal involving half the neighbor's wives. All is cleared up, of course, and its got its moments but never was too ambitious a film in the first place. Nice look and good music by Mancini.
