After a drifter arrives in a town only to be arrested by the police for driving offences, he is surprised when a complete stranger, a barmaid, pays his $50 fine. Without his knowledge he is about to be drawn into a crime and framed.
Low budget but quite effective film with the stars more than making up for the lack of quality in the script. Glenn Ford is fine as the drifter trying to make an honest living but it is Janis Carter as the barmaid who steals the show.
