I had no idea what to expect going in and I can't imagine I'd have been prepared regardless. What ensues is a series of somewhat interlinking character arcs that are as weird as they are clever. Underneath the gross out factor there is some real psychological punching power and the film makes us question our own perceptions of beauty, self and love, in one of the most original ways I've seen. If you want a romance that really doesn't fit the Hollywood format, look no further.
