Okay... who's relative is she? This movie would have been fun, but the actress who played the daughter was painful to watch. Her half-hearted attempt at displaying fear - or any form of emotion - resulted in either the vacant look of trying really hard to multiply 9x7, or the look of surprise at accidentally figuring 9x7 out. Why would the director settle for this? Also, the editing was choppy. The writing horrendous.
The idea is good. The locale is gorgeous. The CGI beasts are fun. It was also great to see a slew of more than decent character actors. And, didn't they do the absolute best with what they were given as far as writing was concerned. Kudos for that.
