Dark, but bad.

Another clown film. This one wasn't too bad but it wasn't good never mind amazing either.

The follows a young woman, Lane. Who is carrying a baby for her sister in law & her boyfriend. She somehow purchases a clown doll for £50 & has it in her house. She then starts to receive weird phone calls from some mysterious man but it's then that her friends & family start to die 1 by 1. Police start to suspect Lane as the culprit as evidence seems to be pointing to her despite her claims of innocence.

I found the film to be actually quite sinister & dark. In fact, it would've been a promising film had the body count been higher & the ending had been better. The kills were either unconvincing or simply bad. The logic in the film of the friends & family making out Lane was going mad was annoying, never mind the police officer who in usual British police fashion disbelieves her claims of innocence & makes snide digs & hints that she is the killer & then gets defensive when she gets defensive. That jarred me off as it mirrors real life...! Flippin' pigs I tell ya...!

The films scoring was good & the dark twisted nature of not being believed & going mad was well done, but the kills could've been better & the body count could've been higher. The ending was weird & didn't make sense though...!

Overall it's not as bad as I thought but not as great either... 4/10

score 4/10
