Disappointing scripts

So film/TV has ensured a certain stereotype of Scottish people - strong and rugged. Sam and Graham tried to shatter this by pretending to be too squeamish to look at the seafood being killed (before they sucked the meat out and devoured the creature) - either they were attempting to virtue signal to their acting crowd (which they must have failed because they ate the meat anyway) or were straight up detached from the reality that meat comes from "once-alive" animals. Also, the show jumped from place to place rather quickly without fully exploring each locale...example, what even happened Kitchin's? And finally, the banter felt very scripted and not in a good way. It seems like Sam and Graham don't really play off each other well. It just came across silly and poorly executed - served with a side of disappointment.

On the plus side, it's Scotland - the landscape was gorgeous. The individuals and businesses that were highlighted (what little actual substance I could get from the quick clips) in the episode were impressive!. It makes one want to travel to Scotland and explore it's beautiful people and landscape! - we'd just need to go without our Men in Kilts hosts.

score 2/10
